AREAS OF EXPERTISE

Ex/RP  [Exposure Response Prevention]:

Noelle is a certified Exposure Response Prevention (Ex/RP) therapist trained at the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety at the University of Pennsylvania.  Ex/RP therapy is one of the most effective forms of treatment for OCD.  Under the guidance of a trained mental health professional, people who receive ERP therapy gradually reduce their anxieties and stop the problematic cycle of OCD, phobias, and debilitating anxiety disorders.

SPACE [Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions]:

Noelle is a certified SPACE provider, a parent-focused intervention developed by Dr. Eli Lebowitz, director of the Program for Anxiety Disorders at the Yale Child Study Center. SPACE is an innovative, evidence-based program to help treat children with anxiety. SPACE can help tackle anything from separation anxiety, generalized anxiety, or social anxiety to fears and phobias. The treatment can also be used for children with obsessive-compulsive disorder, selective mutism, and panic disorder.

NVR [Non-Violent Resistance]:

Noelle is also trained in Non-Violent Resistance, a parent-focused therapeutic system to reduce parental helplessness and aid families experiencing intense conflict between parent and child.  NVR was developed by clinical psychologist Haim Omer and a group of his students at Tel Aviv University’s Department of Psychology in the mid-90s. NVR is widely practiced and taught in Europe and Israel. Professional associations and networks devoted to NVR exist in the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Since 2010, the global NVR community has hosted six international conferences on innovation in NVR theory and practice. Recently, NVR has begun establishing a presence in Canada and the United States, with developments as of 2021.
