Anniversary Luncheon and Open House

A Heartfelt Invitation

As many remember, lift’s origins date back to a single member practice, established by eating disorder and adolescent specialist, program developer, and area psychotherapist, Mary Dobson, LMFT, CEDS. Our community’s response to the practice’s proactive, inclusive, and tailored approach to treating patients has been demonstrative.

Over the following decade, it has been a great pleasure and privilege to recruit, hire, train, and mentor over twenty talented clinicians into the Lift family. Each provider who has joined our practice as a partner was hand (and heart) chosen for their passionate and unrivaled shared commitment to clients and unshakable belief that ALL have the ability to achieve a full and lasting recovery from mental health and eating disorders. The evolution of Lift into a multi-specialty group offering a comprehensive range of services has been humbling to have been a part of.

We are unceasingly thankful to our collegiate community for your friendship, collaboration, support, teamwork, belief, and trust placed in us. As we anticipate the January opening of our new licensed, structured intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization program for youth ages 10-18, our appreciation for our colleagues, clients, friends, and community members, is deeply felt.

As is our tradition, we are gearing up to celebrate Lift’s anniversary with our annual open house; ‘networking, for good.’ This year, we have two enormously important causes to support with our anniversary gathering:

1. We have been profoundly impacted by the sickening tragedies felt and witnessed by our friends in Israel. We have identified an organization, AMERICAN FRIENDS OF MAGEN DAVID ADOM, doing much to help; most critically, supplying desperately needed ambulatory vehicles to Israel. As a healthcare practice, we’re too well aware of how essential adequate ambulatory care is, particularly in times of war. We will be collecting donations for AMERICAN FRIENDS OF MAGEN DAVID ADOM at Open House. Donations will be accepted through Venmo, with a special QR created for this purpose. AFMDA is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization (federal tax ID number i13-1790719), and donors will be given receipt for tax deduction.

2. Here on the home front, The Center for Family Justice is a wonderful nonprofit organization just miles from us, in Bridgeport, CT. The Center supplies essential items to victims of domestic violence and victims of child abuse, who are being given a fresh chance to live in safety and in peace. We are supplying a list here of items presently needed by the Center. Many of these are items you may pick up regularly on trips to the market. Please review the list and consider purchasing an extra of some of the below needed items, to donate to women and families served by the CFJ. The Center for Family Justice, Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization pursuant to Section 501(c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code, EIN No. 06-0646991, and we will provide receipt for donations. If you bring an item for Center, a Lift team member will gather it from you at arrival, and a CFJ representative shall collect items at the close of event.

We look forward to seeing you soon, and ‘networking, for good’ during this time of thanksgiving. Thank you again for helping us celebrate Lift’s birthday, with solidarity, community, and hope.
