Maria Cimina is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate who supports children, adolescent and adult clients through anxiety, depression, grief and loss, family challenges, trauma, peer and personal relationship struggles, life transitions, and other related experiences. Maria utilizes an integrative approach when working with clients, weaving various evidence-based approaches and techniques that promote wellness and self-actualization. Maria fosters an environment for clients that is collaborative, supportive and nonjudgmental, finding opportunities to explore stories together, identify and build upon strengths, improve communication styles, learn new coping strategies, and ultimately, create lasting change.

Maria completed her MSEd. in Mental Health Counseling at Fordham University in May 2023. Prior to this, she completed her BA at Providence College before working for 13 years with Boys & Girls Clubs in CT focusing on youth development and professional training. Her experience includes work with individuals with varied intersectional identities in private and non-profit settings. Maria believes that every individual's experience is unique, and that psychotherapy provides a safe space for critical dialogue and reflection.
