Christine Sacane, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Having received her Master of Social Work from Fordham University and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Christine brings experience working with adolescents and adults utilizing a strengths-based and person-centered approach in the treatment of eating disorders/disordered eating patterns, anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, ADHD, executive functioning skills, and life stressors and change. She recognizes the importance of seeing the client in a holistic manner, incorporating a narrative approach to therapy. Christine integrates therapeutic modalities of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, and mindfulness techniques to assist clients in working toward their goals.
Christine also possesses a certification in EMDR (Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing), a psychotherapy technique that helps people process traumatic memories and other distressing experiences.
Christine’s therapeutic experience includes work in a PHP/IOP eating disorder treatment center, outpatient mental health, and school systems.
Christine is passionate about the importance of support systems in a client’s treatment, and also finds that warmth and connection with her clients is essential in establishing a safe, non-judgmental environment where healing can occur. Christine believes in collaboratively working with clients to strengthen self-esteem, empowerment and interpersonal relationships as a path to healing.
