Intern

As a clinical intern in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at the University of New Haven, Amber is committed to creating a compassionate and collaborative therapeutic space for clients. She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic approaches, but is not limited to these modalities, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques to meet each individual's unique needs. Her goal is to help clients develop practical coping strategies, enhance self-awareness, and promote personal growth.

In her role as a counselor, Amber supports and accompanies clients on their journey toward emotional wellness. Amber is under the direct supervision of Christine Sacane, LCSW, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Clients of Amber can benefit from an additional set of clinical eyes, as well as consultation and contributions, through the support, feedback, and expertise gained from Christine’s many years of experience in achieving therapeutic outcomes.
